To be fair, there are some good ideas written into the Community College Trustee Handbook.

The text encourages Trustees to be open-minded, ethical, visionary and practical. Most importantly, the Handbook places heavy importance on communication. The Trustees must communicate with each other, and the community. If the ideas and plans of the Trustees are to materialize, the concepts must be expressed in ways that are convincing.

This makes sense.
